Ann Arbor Community Group

November 19, 2017 @ 1:00 am - 3:00 pm

The MAP Ann Arbor Community Group will meet the 4th Sunday of each month

November 19, 2017

1-3PM

Lifepoint Church | 3980 Research Park Drive | Ann Arbor, MI 48108

You are invited to a viewing of the documentary, “The Dark Side of Chocolate”, and a presentation from 10,000 Villages about fair trade practices.

Join us to learn about labor trafficking and how you can make a difference by shopping fair trade.

The Dark Side of Chocolate is a documentary about the exploitation and slave trading of African children to harvest chocolate still occurring nearly ten years after the cocoa industry pledged to end it.

Ten Thousand Villages’ mission is to provide vital, fair income to craftspeople in the developing world by marketing their handicrafts and telling their stories in North America.  The sale of these products helps to provide a fair wage for the artisans and enables them to pay for food, education, health care, and housing.
